[I don't send many mass emails, so just read it, okay?]
To all of you who are so sick of the news right now you'd rather wipe your
ass with the Times than have to flip though 5 channels of C-Span to get to
MTV:
If you think mass media is biased, censored, or monopolized enough already,
you might be concerned that your access to accurate and relevant news may
soon be even more limited when the FCC lifts the ban on cross-ownership
(owning both a newspaper and TV station in a given area). Don't ask me why
I'm suddenly all political. Maybe I'm just mad that my local newspaper,
though shitty even before, has been bought by Knight Ridder and no longer
reports local news. Maybe I just feel lonely in my rage. Anyway, you should
read these articles, and then write/email the FCC, and then I'll feel better
(because you know, it's really all about me (: ):

(FAIR has a really easy email-the-FCC form if you don't have mcuh time
to write)
