Technology, is a world-renowned linguist, philosopher, and political
analyst. He writes extensively and lectures around the world on
international affairs, U.S. foreign policy, and human rights. His most

7:00PM: Non-violence in Action: Lecture and Film on the Occupied Territories
Science Center C, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
Non-Violence in action: Resisting the Occupation, a primer on non-violent
direct action in the Occupied Terrirories of the Middle East.
Lecture by: Liad Kantorowicz
Film by: Tyson Smith
A combination video showing and lecture about non-violent direct action around
the Occupation. The video takes you to the front lines of the
conflict and focuses on the problems and successes of non-violent
demonstration
between two warring parties. Filmed in the area just South of Jerusalem in the
Greater Bethlehem area, (Beit Jala) it shows several activist groups in
action,
putting their lives and livelihoods on the line to present a reasonable
solution to both Israelis and Palestinians. Liad Kantorowicz is a dedicated
Israeli activist and organizer who works to bring Israelis and Internationals
into the Occupied Territories to work with Palestinians in demonstrations and
actions which defy and combat the Occupation. She will speak of the importance
of International and Israeli involvement in the conflict through non-violent
demonstrations with Palestinians, as a means of bringing peace between the two
cultures. Ms. Kantorowicz will describe new methods of action and show how
people can become involved.
