URGENT ACTION NEEDED:

$1 billion for AIDS funding.

Tomorrow, Congresswoman Barbara Lee will be circulating a letter to other
senators and house reps to increase funding for global AIDS by $1
billion.

She has asked for our help.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE, you need to help the growing
contingent of MIT students who are pushing Massachusetts Senators and
Representatives to sign on to this letter WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK.

It has been stated that if enough senators and reps sign, Bush will allow
this measure to pass.

IN LESS TIME THAT IT TOOK TO READ THIS E-MAIL, you can call:
Michael Capuano (house rep).: (617) 621-6208
Ted Kennedy (senator): (617) 565-3170
John Kerry (senator): (617) 565-8519

Talk to the staff person in charge of foreign affairs, and voice your
support for the congressmen to sign on to the "Dear Colleague"
letter to President Bush, which urges $1 billion of emergency
supplemental appropriation for the Global AIDS Fund.
