Hi,
I personally could not think of a deeper way to
trivialize violence against women than to compare the US Govt,
with its murderous, brutal, and anti-democratic (in many many
other countries as well as our own) actions to that of a women being
violated and mistreated by someone she trusts and cares for very deeply.
Nevertheless, it is useful to know how outlandish some of the views out
there are, so people are allowed to submit them to peace-list.
But as peace-list was advertised as being low volume, we can't
really all reply to this or other such emails without
flooding everyone's mailboxes, so I ask you to direct all
replies to peace-makers@mit.edu instead.
Also, if you need to be added to peace-makers, write to
<peace-keepers@mit.edu> and someone will add you.
