   Did someone "fix" moira so it won't accept the "_"
   character in hostnames and aliases?  I didn't see
   any mail to moira-admin about this.

I certainly hadn't heard anything about this.

The mod-time on the moira server is October 1994, and the binaries on
the moira clients are Nov 1995.  So it doesn't appear that anyone has
made any changes recently.

   I need to be able to insert such names for backward
   compatibility, and to manipulate the names until we
   can get rid of them.

Have we actually added any of these names with "_" recently?  Perhaps
they were imported in as part of the conversion, and the restriction
about the "_" has always been there.
