Hello. I've ben working on adding a new modem management subsystem
to the incarnation of moira we run here at UCSC. After writing the
queries and beginning the testing phase, I find that I am still confused
about what the struct valobj array does. Specifically, what kinds of
validation objects (V_ID, V_LOCK, V_TYPEDATA, etc.) are appropriate in what
situations? After reading the code and looking over the pre-existing
queries, I find that it is still as clear as mud. I've tried various
objects, but they either don't work, or I'm not convinced I'm doing
anything useful or helpful.
Thanks for any help, suggestions on what to read, etc. in advance.
BTW: I've read the server-internals paper, the installation paper, and the
user guide.
