Last night, in preparation to load the new freshman Ted purged all
accounts that had been deactivated more than 6 months ago. A few
months ago Anne removed all Xuser volumes for users that had been
deactivated before Jan. 1, 1994. This means that any user who was
deactivated in 1994, but before 6 months ago, is not in moira, but
their volume is still around. For example, the user 'matt' appears to
be in this state.
If we do not want Xuser volume building up in our cell (which I
suspect is the case) then we need to remove these Xusers. I suspect
that the best thing to do is toget the list of users who were
deactivated more that 6 months ago, by applying grep to the flat file
backup, and removing their volumes. NOTE that as far as I know we only
keep three days of backup on line, so it will be much easire if this
is done in the next day or maybe two.
