I don't think that not giving groups by default would increase User
Accounts' workload by that much in terms of the "free mailing list". I
am a little concerned about the number of people who might actually
use it for sharing files, as it is recommended in both the stock
answers and Managing Your Athena Account.
Good point. I agree, completely. I hadn't realized that we had
actually documented the existence of the group and the "Managing Your
Athena Account".
Oh, well.... it was a good idea, anyway. What would be involved in
changing the necessary documentation so we could do this at a future
date?
Also, what would you think about a procedure which went through and
deleted and user's groups where the list had only been modified by the
registrartion program (meaning the user hadn't touched it at all)?
(This is assuming that the documentation had already been updated.)
