On Monday, a new version of Bond University's free SQL, Minerva SQL,
will be going out, and it will add in-server join functionality. It
seems that it will now support everything needed for Moira. I'm
considering (and will likely do) a port of Moira to use it. It shouldn't
be very hard. Is anyone else interested in this sort of thing?
If there is someone interested in doing this sort of thing, please
send mail to moiradev@mit.edu; we can give you a snapshot of current
tree, which will make it easier for us to integrate those changes back
into the mainline port at some future point.
If there's a lot of interest, you might even be able to pursuade us to a
general release, although the code could definitely use some cleanup
before it sees the light of day. :-)
