I ran into an odd behavior on 11/4.
I attempted to add a host record for sts-jantolin01.mit.edu - Network: SLOAN-470
yesterday. The client specified 18.4.70.29 .sts-jantolin01.mit.edu - Network: SLOAN-470.
No error was reported. As a check on myself, I tried to read back the new record,
but nothing was returned.
After poking for a bit, I noticed that 18.4.70.29 was already assigned to context.mit.edu <http://context.mit.edu/> .
Normally I would have expected an error to be reported when I entered the record, but
didn't get one.
I've since deleted context.mit.edu <http://context.mit.edu/>, and sts-jantolin01.mit.edu <http://sts-jantolin01.mit.edu/> shows up when querying
for it with the stella command:
