It turns out that our backups have been truncating a couple of fields.
I'm not sure why, and am still trying to trace this. Fields that I
know got truncated when we restored the database are:
printcap spool directory - got cut to first 16 characters.
This has been fixed from the hesiod dump.
filesystem pathname - these got cut to 32 characters. I have
restored most of them from the hesiod dump, although
those on deactivated filesystems haven't been dealt
with yet. Will continue working on these.
list comment fields - these have been cut to 16 characters. I
haven't attempted to deal with them yet, although I
can recover them for all mailing lists.
user home addresses - this info comes from the registrar &
personnel tapes, and is recoverable. I haven't
		attempted to restore it yet.

If you see anything else in the database that looks wrong, please let
me know.

My priority this afternoon has been getting the filesystem info back
so that we can do a hesiod propagation tonight without losing any
data. I think this is ready, and won't be staying late today after
being up last night doing the initial restore. I am wearing my pager,
so if there are problems tonight, give me a page...
