Hi,
In the process of upgrading scripts.mit.edu to Fedora 9, we found that the
moira clients in the i386_linux26 (= i386_linux24) arch don't run on
Fedora 9, which has removed libcom_err_so.1. Is it possible for the
binaries to depend on libcom_err.so with no version number instead? It
seems like current Athena Linux (as well as Athena Solaris) machines have
a symlink from libcom_err.so to the latest version.
If not, could we get binaries built for the scripts sysname using
libcom_err.so.2 instead? We're going to be using the custom sysname
amd64_fedora9_scripts for namespace separation, so this shouldn't
interfere with other architectures. The machine sx-blade-4 is our Fedora 9
test server, which should let you ssh in after you sign up for any scripts
service.
If you have any other preferred ways of working around this, they may work
too; let me know what you think.
Thanks!
