Hi,
I'm afraid we don't currently support querying by contact information or
billing contact via the moira client; since these fields in the database
are free-form strings with no input validation, making them return
trustworthy data (subject to vagaries of captalization, inconsistencies
in use of @mit, @mit.edu, or nothing for email addresses, etc.) would be
hard.
We do support searching by cost object, although this functionality is
restricted to those with global read permission on the database. We
can't easily open this up to all users as we don't currently have a
programmatic way of looking up what cost objects an authenticated user
is allowed to access; we could tie moira in with the Roles database to
add this functionality, but I'd consider it a low priority in light of
the network billing changes, which I believe will make the cost object
field in moira for hosts obsolete.
I looked at the RT ticket for what cost object was under discussion, and
ran the query requested, the results of which are included below.
