The middle initial is not used by the register server at all; as
a matter of fact, it is not even sent to the server by the
client. I believe, although I may be wrong, that the only
reason that the middle initial is there is to be consistent with
the reigstration cards.
I think the client should ask for only the required information
and not ask for the middle initial at all. People who have them
won't enter them if not asked, and this will eleviate confusion
for people who have other than one middle initial.
