No special effort is made to keep it private once it leaves moira--it is
accessible to anyone who asks either by "hesinfo name pobox" or by telnet
to port 25 at athena.mit.edu, followed by "vrfy name". If we assume that
blocking those paths isn't likely to be practical any time soon, it ought
to be publicly available via Moira also. For Moira to hide it may
mislead users into thinking it is being kept private by the entire
system.
