Can't you get the effect you want with listmaint? The user already has a
list named with his/her name which is normally a group and not a mailing
list. Change it so that it is also a mailing list, and then add members
to it. Hmm, that also adds them to your group, which you probably don't
want; but if you could make them STRING type members instead of USER type
members what would happen to the group and to the mailing list?
