I know several people on the staff have /mit/smsuser/`machtype`bin in
their search paths. This locker will be going away soon. You should
change your path to include /mit/moira/`machtype`bin, and now attach
moira instead of smsuser. For now smsuser will still work, but in a
couple of weeks it will point to scripts telling you to use the new
locker. People will learn to call the system Moira instead of SMS.
Also, bug reports should go to bug-moira, not bug-sms. Here are the
lists and lockers used by the Moira project:
Lists:
bug-moira: for bug reports
moira-comments: public list for athena-specific discussion
moira: public list for external-to-athena discussion
moira-request: requesting changes to moira lists or other questions
moiradev: the development team; design decisions are often made here
gmoira: group having access to the sources
for backwards compatability (will go away at some point):
sms: same as moira
bug-sms: same as bug-moira
sms-request: same as moira-request
Lockers:
moira: this contains `machtype`bin and `machtype`lib directories
containing the latest clients and libraries. It's what used
to be smsuser.
moiradev: this is the developement source locker, in AFS.
smsuser: obsolete, will go away soon!
smsdev: this points to the old development locker on menelaus and is
being used as a staging ground for preparing the next public
release of moira. It too will go away soon.
