Moira development is still happening here at MIT. Unfortunately for
people outside MIT, the development has taken an unforseen turn. We
are continuing to add bugfixes, enhancements, and support of new
services. But because of insufficent resources we have had to
postpone the re-write to get it SQL based and easier to use outside
MIT. This has lead to diverging source trees between what we're
running locally and the half-way finished re-write. I'd still like to
get the re-write finished, or at least package up for public
distribution the latest MIT sources, but at this point I can't make
any promises.
There is also some moira activity outside of MIT. A couple of schools
such as UC Santa Cruz and Iowa State are working with it. DEC is
still doing Moira development for their DEC-Athena offering. I
believe that there are two consulting agencies, Geer/Zolot and Cygnus
Support who are also working with it.
I don't know about a better mailing list archive. We don't archive it
here separately from other moira lists about bugs, development ideas
and operational messages, so it is difficult to pull together a
coherent set of archives.
