The printer ds-2 had its hardware type set to "hp5si" in moira,
which resulted in the following odd looking printcap entry being
generated for it on ae:
# ds-2: w91-117
# contact: Lynne Sousa 8-5857 sousa@mit.edu
ds-2|w91-117 hp5si:\
:lp=/dev/null:rp=ds-2:rm=DS-2.MIT.EDU:\
:sd=/var/spool/printer/ds-2:\
:lf=/var/spool/printer/ds-2/ds-2-log:\
:af=/var/spool/printer/ds-2/ds-2-acct:\
:ka#0:pc#0:\
:mx#0:
which is the correct printcap for an LPR style printer. My guess would
be "hp5si" isn't matching against any of the types of printer moira
knows about, and so it was spitting out a default printcap entry for
it.
I wasn't able to set a printer's type to a lowercase string using
the moira clients, so this is probably an artifact of when all the types
were initially set following the recent installation of the new moirad,
so we probably don't need to worry about this too much, but daN asked me
to report it.
