I think that after a year of running with Oracle, we're nearly ready
to release Moira 4 to the world...

Here's the stuff I think I want to do before the 4.0 release:

  - Check in the autoconfiscation. (This is basically done, it just
requires me figuring out how to make `make install' do what I
want, which requires me figuring out what I want it to do.)

  - Test the build on random platforms. (I haven't tried the alpha
    since the mrgdb rewrite.)

  - Finishing testing the `new' DCM. (``Still gaining acceptance...'')

  - Fix the listadmin -> dbadmin bootstrapping problem, the way
Matt suggested. (Adding a `this list may only be editted by its
owner, not by the query acl' bit)

  - A few small bugs, mostly having to do with AFS filesystem
    incrementals. (See http://web/danw/www/moirabugs.html for
    (slightly) more details.)

  - Fix the things in the schema that suck. (Fields that are too
short, mostly.) [This can't happen until all of the other programs
are updated, or we'll get buffer overruns.]

Some specific things on the Moira to-do list that I _don't_ want to do
before the release are:

  - The improved printing architecture and the generic ACL DCM

  - The new reg_svr

  - krb5

  - Oracle 7.3.2

I plan to do the listadmin hack first and then hopefully have a
feature freeze on the server for a while so we can have reasonable
confidence in the server before releasing. Also, I'm going to try to
get the latest versions of everything else running on the server soon.

Questions for other people are: does anyone think anything should be
moved from `do' to `don't' or vice versa, and are there any other
bugs/features you really want to get in sooner rather than later?
