Network: there are a handful of machines in the database with no OS
field for which vendor/model information might be useful to be able to
see (routers, x terminals, notebook docks, etc). It's a pretty simple
fix if you'd like this behavior changed.
It's a feature. It appears that the RFC requires the
HINFO field to to be complete, or non-existant.
You create illegal DNS info (which resolvers may die
on) if you try to deliver the HINFO info without OPSYS.
The vendor/model info can indeed be useful though in
reality it's often out of date a very short time after
it's initially entered.
No change in the behavior is requested or desired, but
