- Held initial wide group meeting
- confirmed work plan
- Continued recruiting effort for Finance Team member
- Began to write up notes of meeting
Goals for the coming period
- Finalize core team
- Begin data gathering
- do project announcement to infosys
- Energize commitments and resources for project
Issues
- Resources & time commitments to do this right
- Timing - we agree that it is good to begin the work now, but we need to
create a more detailed work plan.
- Staffing remains a problem - Finance team is spread thin
Key learnings
- This project is hairy and audacious - it's complex and rewarding and
critical to the success of Pismere and the extension of academic computing
services at MIT.
Team dynamics:
- There was wide-spread buy-in at the first meeting. Interest was high and
awareness was shared.
Additional comments:
- We (IS) need to reconfirm the strategic importance of this work and
remind ourselves of its priority.
