Accomplishments of the past period:
* Reviewed findings and recommendations with sponsors. (17 April )
* Held Stakeholder's meeting (18 April) to seek input on high priority
wish list items and the recommendation for content delivery.
* Completed student and faculty wish list priorities.
* Scheduled conference call/demonstration with Degree Navigator.
* Began final report.
Goals for the coming period:
* Meet with OKI staff to see which of our wish list items are planned
for their final product.
* Meet with SSIT and the Registrar's Office to get a better
understanding of the Curriculum Integration System and how it relates to
items on the wish list.
* Investigate more about Degree Navigator.
* Begin writing final report and recommendations.
Issues:
* While the sponsors and stakeholders would like more information
about what resources would be needed should we choose to pursue the
implementation of some of the wish list items, it is difficult to do this
without an idea of what the technical solution will be. We hope to be able
to provide information for resources for our recommended next steps.
* While the team will be delivering a set of discrete features for an
online augmented advising system based on our prioritized wish lists, it is
important that any implementation of these features consider the whole
system. We don't want to end up with discrete systems which don't interact.
* We need a better understanding of the long-term plans of OKI, CIS
and others so that we are not duplicating efforts.
