Accomplishments past period:
- Project Note set up
- Identified infrastructure and support constraints
- Built spreadsheets with estimates for infrastructure and support costs
- Collected information from other universities
- Created presentation with background information
- Presented initial information to the Infrastructure subgroup of the MITCET
Goals for the coming period:
- Create chart of comparison information from other universities who are
"expert" in student ownership for the Infrastructure subgroup by October
10.
- Consider costs of a program with no shared file space. Include backup,
software distribution, communal activities, break/fix model, network
security etc.
Issues:
- Infrastructure subgroup really does not know what it wants
- Moving forward requires more concrete definition of requirements from MITCET
- Completing a chart by October 10 will be challenging
Key Learnings:
- none
Team Dynamics:
Excellent contributions from all team members.
