Friends and Colleagues --
It appears that there's been some leakage of our wonderful news. That
notwithstanding, this is the official announcement!
Jackson Gerald Hicks McGovern was born on July 28, 2000 at 11:55 a.m.,
tipping the scales at 7 lbs 8.2 oz, and fully stretched out to 19.5
inches. He's been working hard ever since doing his job -- which is
keeping Mom and Dad and brother Ivan hopping constantly... Bottom line,
Jackson's well, Mom's mending quickly, and a new -- and somewhat more
complicated -- normalcy is being established here on the homefront.
I'm looking forward to sharing as much more of the happy news as you can
stand when I get back to the office, now slated for Monday, August 4.

P.s. Unlike some of these announcements, Jackson has no e-mail address,
and no web page...we're sorta old fashioned that way ;-).
