Accomplishments past period:
- Prepared project status update for ASPCC
- Presented update to ASPCC on Nov. 10
- Determined action items stemming from ASPCC meeting
- Met with Professor Emeritus Bob McKersie to talk about the
management of change process
Goals for the coming period:
- Begin work on team's action items from ASPCC meeting
- Begin to work through the items necessary before the end of Discovery:
- Risk Analysis
- Visit with Duke
- Finalizing set of recommendations
- Proposing time-line
- Creating budget / resource / planning proposal
- Identifying known policy issues
- Creating a proposed structure to continue and strengthen
outreach to AO's through the project
- Continue work with Prof. McKersie and others on a
proposed structure for a change management plan
- Create a proposed structure for a communications plan - work
with Janet Snover
Issues:
- Need to insure broad participation and buy-in to the work from the
various customer groups across campus
- Refining timeline will become increasingly important; how is the timing
for HR-Payroll impacted by other activities; i.e. SAP updgrades.
Key learnings
- The active conversation with ASPCC was very productive
- Managing the change issues and the perspectives of central and
decentralized stakeholders will be critical to success.
Team dynamics:
- We will need a concerted effort and higher levels of commitment to
complete the remaining items for Discovery.
