Accomplishments past period:
-  Met with Laura Avakian, VP for Human Resources
-  Met with Robin Elices, Director Administrative Services Organization
-  Met with Doreen Morris
-  Met with John Curry
-  Provided brief update to ASPCC
-  Began risk analysis effort
-  Completed team cross-education effort
-  Drafted outreach plan for the AO community
-  Drafted change to charter, reflecting decision for SAP as HR-Payroll system
-  Began to gather issues
-  Completed system schematic


Goals for the coming period:
-  Meet with Sponsors
-  Begin involvement with the AO community
-  Increase interactions with SAP - Payroll meeting in Ca.
-  Determine approach for User Group meeting in Denver, Nov. 3
-  Continue conversations with Duke and others
-  Define, refine, and chart requirements and objectives
-  Plan for Nov. 10 meeting with ASPCC

Issues:
- Increasing intensity for the work
- Need to insure broad participation and buy-in to the work from the
various customer groups across campus
- Be clear about decision for SAP and work with community to provide
support and assurances.
- Refining timeline will become increasingly important; how is the timing
for HR-Payroll impacted by other activities; i.e. SAP updgrades.
- When is Discovery portion of the work at an end.

Key learnings
- Good team, complex topic, there's a lot to learn
- The Sponsors efforts on behalf of the project are critically important.
- There is a lot of intensity & sensitivity around this project
- Managing the change issues and the perspectives of central and
decentralized stakeholders will be critical to success.

Team dynamics:
- Solid, focused team, great knowledge base for the work.
- Shifting from listening and learning to active use of the information and
beginning analysis.
