Accomplishments Past Period:
- Letter drafted to send to vendors who did not make our cut-off list.
- Hardcopy versions of the Request for Solution (RFS) sent to Greg Anderson
and Vijay Kumar.
- Nina Davis-Millis, from our project management team, attended the American
Library Association annual conference in New Orleans. At least two vendor
representatives arranged to meet with Nina at ALA.
Goals for the Coming Period:
- Debriefing from Nina and selected staff members who attended ALA
Conference. Staff in attendance were able to see product demos and meet
informally with vendors.
- Finalize date for All-Staff meeting to provide an update on the
progress made so far.
- Meet with Eric Celeste to talk about RFP details. We need to be more
specific about what, precisely, it will consist of; what are we
trying to find out?
- Site visit to Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole Institute
(MBL-WHOI), to look at Endeavor Voyager implementation, scheduled for July 9.
- Waiting to hear from vendors with dates for first-round demonstrations. We
have reqested vendors replye by no later than the 2nd week of July. We are
hoping to finish this phase of initial demos by mid-September at the latest.
