Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that Magellan (Discovery Project Leads) meets tomorrow
at 1 in N42-203. As Greg announced in earlier mail, he's in Arizona
this week, so I'll be convening this meeting. In addition to your own
topical issues, we'll try to spend a little bit of the meeting talking
about how to prepare for a check-in with ITLT, which is a typical step
in most Discovery projects. Some teams have already done this, so we'd
like to hear those stories, and some are in the process of preparing
for such a check-in, and we'd like to hear about those preparations as
well.
For calendaring purposes, after tomorrow the next few meetings will be
April 22,
May 6 and
May 20 ... all at 1pm in N42-203.
Send your fortnightly updates to <<magellan@mit.edu>.
Thanks, see you tomorrow,
Tim
P.s.
Outtakes from the Last Scene of <underline>Waiting for
Godot</underline> by Samuel Beckett (1954)
ESTRAGON: Didi.
VLADIMIR: Yes.
ESTRAGON: I can't go on like this.
VLADIMIR: That's what you think.
ESTRAGON: If we parted? That might be better for us.
VLADIMIR: We'll hang ourselves tomorrow. (Pause) Unless Godot comes.
ESTRAGON: And if he comes?
VLADIMIR: We'll be saved.
Vladimir takes off his hat (Lucky's), peers inside it, feels
about inside it, shakes it, knocks on the crown, puts it on again.
ESTRAGON: Well? Shall we go?
VLADIMIR: Pull on your trousers.
ESTRAGON: What?
VLADIMIR: Pull on your trousers.
ESTRAGON: You want me to pull off my trousers?
VLADIMIR: Pull ON your trousers.
ESTRAGON: (realizing his trousers are down) True.
He pulls up his trousers.
VLADIMIR: Well? Shall we go?
ESTRAGON: Yes, let's go.
They don't move.
