I just installed kerberos version 5 beta 6 on a Solaris 2.5 system with
version 4 backwards compatibility. All of my clients are PC's which are
running a Multinet package. This package uses v4 kinit, rlogin ,etc.

I have no trouble getting an inital ticket, but when I try to change my
password (using the kerberos multinet tool) I get a principal name
unkown error. (The only way I can rlogin is if I use the v5 kinit which
has been installed another Sun system, the /usr/bin/kinit does not work)

I have also tried running the v4kadmind but when I enter the KDC master
key I get this error

Enter KDC database master key:
error: Could not verify master key
Admin Server (kadm server) has completed operation.
#

I guess my question is how do I get the KDC to recognize v4 clients?
