Do you *really* mean "public domain," or do you mean, "freely useable
and redistributable?"
The MIT Kerberos 5 distribution contains a GSS-API implementation
(donated by OpenVision) which you may use in any way you wish as long
as the MIT copyright notice is included somewhere in any derivative
work. No, that's not "public domain," because that term implies no
usage conditions whatsoever. But it's probably close enough.
