Hubbard,
I decided to use Kerberos on and Irix5.3 system and found that getting
it to work was a nightmare. But once running, it has been a very good
solution. The only problem now is that vendors, Cisco, Ascend and even
Xyplex are moving away from Kerberos and towards Radius (For now). I
would suggest to really look at what you need the Security for and look
into all possibilities. This was not meant to scare you away from
Kerberos but, as I purchase new equipment I am having to use other
protocols in addition to Kerberos because it isn't supported.
