Hello,
I was able to build the Kerberos 5 Beta 6 source without any trouble.
However, "make check" fails during the first SHS check, as follows:
<PRE>
./t_shs -x
Running SHS test 1 ...
SHS test 1 failed
*** Error code 255
Stop.
</PRE>
I'm at a loss for how to proceed. Could anyone lend any suggestions?
Thanks very much!
While I am at it, I'll report the following problems with configuration on
FreeBSD. Since I don't know how to modify autoconf behavior myself, I
can't fix the problem, only work around it. I would like to hear from
someone who knows how to modify autoconf to fix these problems.
When configuring Kerberos 5 Beta 6 on FreeBSD 2.1.5, the configuration
script fails to discover that MISSING_ERROR_PROTOTYPE and
MISSING_CLEARERR_PROTOTYPE needs to be defined. I.E. configure reports:
<PRE>
checking for missing dbm_error prototype... (cached) no
checking for missing dbm_clearerr prototype... (cached) no
</PRE>
