On nearly the same configuration (4.1.3_U1) I have no problems (I'm using
gcc).  Since I would guess there are a number of people with similar
configurations and I haven't seen many reports of problems like yours, my
guess is a problem at your end.

There _was_ that bug w.r.t the internal handling of principal lookups, but
judging from your message you're not at that stage yet.
