I am trying to find any information on how certain sections of the Kerberos
package work. This is Kerberos IV that I am talking about.
How is ksu to request the principal? I know that Cygnus has it take the
USER env variable and requests $USER.root@DEFAULT.REALM
I would like to find out if you should also be able to have it read the
ticket file for a root principal. Also it would be nice to ksu to a user
without a root principal. However, since I do not have documentation, I do
not want to violate the objective of Kerberos by adding these "features"
The other thing that I would like to know about is the krb.realms file. Is
the correct way to handle the matching "first longest match" "longest
match" or "take off the machine name from complete hostname and match"
Thank you for your time.
Wes
