Hi,
I'm developing a Macintosh e-mail application. I'm interested in doing
non-clear text login and have some questions.
2) AUTH
As far I've looked into kerberos authentication, it seems that I require
some sort of library or system level service to do a kerberos login. Is
this accurate? Can someone summarize the steps and system components
involved? Running an INIT (K-Man ?) for this is totally unsatisfactory.
Linking in some code or library would be.
1) APOP
I know not kerberos related but ...
I have yet to see an APOP compatible POP server. I've heard QPOP can do
it but my provider (who runs QPOP) doesn't support APOP. Can someone
outline the steps involved. I've read the RFC but I'm unsure how the
greeting looks (and should be parsed).
As you can imagine, I don't know very much about this stuff. I'd
appreciate anyone's help in regards to my questions.
