It has been eight months since I gave up on the slave server on beta
5. Now it is beta six... Here is the progress.

1) Dumped the database to a slave_datatrans file on the master and
transferred it to the slave. Also transfered the .k5.... stash file.

2) Did a lddb on the slave, and copied the stash file to the
appropriate spot. Good! I now had my database working on two
machines!

3) Setup kpropd on the slave, and kprop on the master. Inetd working
properly when kpropd is called.

4) Made a v5srvtab file on the master using
xst machine.com rcmd host kprop kpropd
I know the last two aren't prob needed but hey...
Moved the v5srvtab file from the master to the
/etc/v5srvtab location that is the default...

5) Now I run kprop using
     kprop machine
using all of the default file locations unchanged. The error I see
on the master where I run kprop is "broken pipe". the error in the
syslog file on the slave is "unable to authenticate host/machine.com"
and so on.

6) I figure a v5srvtab problem, but I can't get wily enough to figure
it out. Can someone point me to it?

Thanks a million. I know most here go unanswered, but I was happy to
get a tip on the stash file from a poster who will remain anonymous
(but not unappreciated!)

Cheers!
