Hmm. Me too. According to t_shs.c, test 1 appears to be some kind of endian 
test. Haven't had much time to dig into it.  I also can't get any of the 
admin apps to run (such as krb5_create). They dump core. The problem appears
to be a "free" inside a dbm_open call. I'm currently re-running configure to
use the built-in db to see if that makes a difference.
