Hello. There may be an obvious solution to this problem; nevertheless,
we are missing it and perhaps someone else here will see it: We have
installed K5b4.3 on our machines here at ISI. Everything is fine.
However, we want to make a variety of other machines rlogin- and telnet-
able. Moving the binaries directly over doesn't seem to work; upon
trying an rlogin, for instance, we get "Software terminated sendauth
exchange." The only difference that we can see is that the dynamic
libraries (libc) are the wrong update. First question:

    1. Is that a possible cause of this problem?

If the answer to this question is no, please disregard the remainder
of this post. Otherwise: We have tried to get around the problem by
doing the linking with the -static option turned on gcc. This has not
solved the problem. Furthermore, using the -static option with ld
during the linking only, which should have produced substantially the
same results, produced another problem (which I seem to have misplaced
the output from). Second question:

    2. Does anyone have any (good) ideas on how to resolve this
        problem?

Thanks everyone.
