OK, it's time to point out again that sending unsubscription
requests to the entire list is not an acceptable way of getting off
the list. I know of no large Internet lists where this is the
appropriate practice; it works with some list management software, but
is never the official channel.
Most Internet mailing lists have a request address of the form
listname-request@domain where subscription and unsubscription
requests are appropriate. Kerberos is such a list; send to
kerberos-request@mit.edu. Also, do yourself and the rest of the
Internet community a favor by making sure you know how to leave
communications fora that you join as you join them, and by organizing
this information so you can find it later.
I'm not trying to be annoying by not simply removing you from
the list. I'm trying to point out the appropriate mechanism to
unsubscribe in an attempt to reduce the traffic on the list that is
simply unsubscription requests. If you were the only person who had
ever sent an unsubscription to the entire list, it wouldn't be a big
deal.
