Installing version 5b5 on Solaris:
'kinit' responds:
SunOS (cs1)
Kerberos Initialization
Kerberos name: chutch
kinit: Can't send request (send_to_kdc)
'kdb_edit' works fine, the server is running, and lib/krb.conf is
MUM.EDU
MUM.EDU kerberos.mum.edu admin server
where cs1.mum.edu is the machine name. (which has the alias kerberos.mum.edu)
any hints?
