Tony,

I have version 5, beta 5 working on an alpha. No problems at all. You
can also get V4 out of it, if you compile that option in. I've compiled
it in, but don't use it.

My main interest here is in hacking in smart cards and some public-key
crypto in to the AS_REQ & AS_REP messages. Otherwise we do successfully
use V5 on alpha in deployment. Mainly it generates tickets for the rlogin
application. We use this to give admins secure remote logins between 4
university sites of this research centre. Higher cracker communities, but
we are comfortable enough with it.

email me if you want to ask more questions - or give a call.
