You will need to ensure that you keep your ports constant across your
realm. As it works like this. A client somewhere (say kinit or klrogin
or whatever) can only look at it's local /etc/services file. It assumes
that the same port it used on the target machine. If not, you're in trouble.
Find out which port / servername that fd 7 in krb5kdc is trying to attach
and fix it. It may just be some secondary port, alternate port, or a v4
port already in use, or not tidied up properly after the last time you
killed krb5kdc. Also DEC offer some form of Kerberos with it's more
secure OS. This was only Kerberos v4 (from memory), so check that is not
there, and if so consider turning it off/ deinstalling it.
