With the reference from "http://ubvms.cc.buffalo.edu/
ftp/kerberos_5/install_info/kerb55_under.solaris24",
I have successfully installed Kerberos Authentication Server
on a SUN running Solaris 2.4. "rlogin", rcmd, sample client/server
programs all are running OK in "host1.cs.nyu.edu".
With the same procedure, I was able to "make", "make check" and
"make install" in another SUN running Solaris 2.5 which is
going to be a Kerberos client machine "host2.cs.nyu.edu".
In host1, I have the following entries and do
"xst host2.cs.nyu.edu host sample" then move the file
"host2.cs.nyu.edu-new-srvtab" to host2 and put it as
"/etc/v5srvtab"
Here is what these entries are:
entry: sample/host1.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: host/host1.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: huachie/admin@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: krbtgt/LANG.CS.NYU.EDU@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: huachie@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: K/M@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: sample/host2.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: root@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: kadmin/LANG.CS.NYU.EDU@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
entry: host/host2.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU
kdb5_edit: xst host2.cs.nyu.edu host sample
'host/host2.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU' added to keytab 'WRFILE:host2.cs.nyu.e
-new-srvtab'
'sample/host2.cs.nyu.edu@LANG.CS.NYU.EDU' added to keytab 'WRFILE:host2.cs.nyu
du-new-srvtab'
Back to host2, I got "Segmentation fault" when I tried "kinit" and
"Illegal instruction" from "klist".
Any idea? I will appreciate your feedback!
