I compiled and installed krb5 without indcident it seemed, until I tried
to use admin/kdb5_create. It reports "Improper format of configuration
file while retreiving default realm name." This occurs with the
distribution supplied krb5.conf and with the one which I edited for local
information. The distribution was ftped from athena-dist.mit.edu within
the last month.
My understanding is that the path is supposed to be /krb5/krb5.conf ; is
this correct? In the documentation, it said that the file had recently
changed, and to use the conf included in the distribution as an example.
Can somebody clairify this situation for me? What is the new format? Is
the one in the distribution the correct .conf file?
