Howdy, I am new to the kerberos security as well as internet stuff so I have
some questions that I hope someone can help me with. This will be also
helpful to the new people like me who want more information.
I have read the rfc1510 on kerberos V5. Is this the current accepted
standard or is this in development stage? How about kerberos v4? where can I
find RFC's or documents on it as well?
Is Kerberos an industry standard? How different is it from DCE? What
companies implement and use it?
I recently subscribed to kerberos@mit.edu, I would like to remain a
subscriber, but is this the proper place for a beginner to ask questions or
is there a more approriate mailing group for that?
Any information or leads on how to get more information on Kerberos will be
much appreciated.
