What is the recommended way to backup a Kerberos server, assuming the system only provides Kerberos service (i.e., no NFS, etc.)? I was thinking about doing a full backup once a week (or even less frequently) to cover myself in case a disk crashes and, then doing a nightly backup of /kerberos to cover daily changes to the Kerberos database. Does that sound reasonable? If so, is there any problem with making a copy of the database while kadmin & kerberos are running? Suggestions appreciated!
