Jonathan,

We are following the original policy we made for SUS. I strongly suggest
that your communication reflect the statement about MIT WAUS that's already
on the IS&T website:

A Note about Windows XP Service Pack 2 (8/11/04)

MIT WAUS (SUS) will not deploy Windows XP Service Pack 2 at the same time
as Microsoft's AutoUpdate. When IS&T announces support for SP2, it's
deployment via this service will be evaluated. Therefore, users may use
this service to opt out of Microsoft's AutoUpdate deployment of SP2.
