Hello All,
I'm actually going to be a bit late tomorrow - I have an appointment
across town until 11am, so I'm not sure when I'll get there. But I
firmly second Oliver's proposal that we use the sheet he handed out as
our planning diagram for win.mit.edu services. I understand that there
are some higher level discussions about charging/not charging but from
my perspective this is somewhat irrelevant.
I would like to see us actually put our organization and resources in
place to offer the services described on the sheet - whether we charge
or not is a separate issue. This would mean deciding on a common suite
of applications, deciding which groups take ownership for which
applications, developing a support plan, etc.
If we could make something similar to that sheet a reality we would have
a very well defined, and I think valuable, service to offer to the
community.
Cheers,
-Chad
