Subject: Eudora 5.2.1 & 5.2.3 Release 2 Announcement
Good Afternoon,
The Eudora Release Team is pleased to announce that Release 2 of Eudora 5.2.1
for Windows and Eudora 5.2.3 for Mac OS 9.x & 10.2 is now available. The
revised installers improve the installation process and addresses several
issues that were encountered on both the Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Who Should Download and Why
---------------------------------------
This latest release of Eudora will benefit new, first time users who wish
to install Eudora and also benefit current users who have experienced
registration configuration and incorrect SMTP authentication settings
issues.
Known Issues
---------------------
Eudora 5.2.3 will function under Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther), however, the
vendor does not support this version of Eudora on Mac OS X 10.3. Although
MIT IS & T does not currently support Mac OS X 10.3, we are sensitive to the
needs of the growing number of users on campus who rely on this OS. The
Eudora Release Team is currently heading a release effort for Eudora 6.0.2,
which Qualcomm does support under Mac OS X 10.3.
Users running 5.2.3 under OS X 10.3 should be aware that the attach button is
grayed out; users have to manually double click the document to attach it.
How to get Eudora 5.2.1 & Eudora 5.2.3
--------------------------------------
Both installers are available through the MIT Software Page:
